This little girl doesn't speak but she laughs
She laughs a lot
Some people talk to much but don't laugh enough
Not this girl
Some would think that she has less to smile about
She smiles anyway
Last week she was very ill
The morning after she got sick I went in to check on her
I leaned into her bed, she looked up at me
Feverish, dehydrated, low energy
Laughing
Right now she is sitting in her rocking chair
Laughing
I am thankful for the gift of laughter and joy
