30 Day Photo Challenge-Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book.

This book holds so much meaning for me I can't completely explain but it involves holding my children in my lap and reading this over as many times as they would allow.

I also remember my Mom reading it to them as well.

It taught me that my eldest loves me "all the way to Jesus' head".

I plan to have several copies on hand to read to grandchildren.

Always,
Hope

30 Day Photo Challenge-Day 19 - A picture of you when you were little.

Slippers made by G'ma, a groovy lunch bag, matching raincoat, hat and umbrella. My mom made the dress for the bride doll and of course I got a doll who could ride a trike. It was a lovely Christmas.

Always,
Hope

30 Day Photo Challenge-Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

After 18 years of being entirely responsible as a parent to my beautiful Ray of Sunshyne, she has now taken a giant leap into adulthood. Her marriage, three months ago today, has made a very large impact on all of our lives. Its a beautiful change. Something you dream of for years and when its time, it is so right and so precious. We are as proud as parents could be of who she is, who she has chosen and the life she is leading. My cup is overflowing.

Always,
Hope

30 Day Photo Challenge-Day 16 - A picture of someone who inspires you.

This is Megan. Affectionately known as Meggie Muffin to her family, she lives in Ireland and when I say she lives, I mean she really lives!

When Megan entered this world, her family had already been told to expect that she wouldn't breathe and if she did it would be for a short time. That was over a year ago. This little fighter refused to give up. Defying the reports, she not only kept breathing but she has survived the health care system that didn't understand her value or her abilities.

Today she is especially inspiring because in the morning, she will be taking a trip to a larger city where she has already found healthcare professionals who believe in her. She will have the surgeries that she has been waiting for and we are praying she gets the treatment she deserves.

I love this photo because her smile is bright and sweet! It is as if she is saying, "You should see life through my eyes! My life is full of love and grace!" Yes sweet princess, I do believe I would like to see the love that makes you smile so beautifully!

Always,
Hope

30 Day Photo Challenge-Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without.

I am pretty sure no one is paying close attention but just in case, yes, I know I missed a few days. (Mainly because I wasn't keen on naming someone in my life better than someone else.) If that means I failed the challenge than so be it. The funny thing is, today's topic is exactly what was on my heart to share anyway.

A Picture Of Someone You Could Never Imagine Your Life Without

The Princess has blessed me in ways I could have never imagined. She has not only changed my life, she has changed ME. My faith is stronger, my life is richer and my ability to love is deeper.
The Princess was born with Emanuel Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects every cell in her body. Her birthmother decided she was not going to be able to raise her and signed off on placing her for adoption when she was five weeks old. Developmental Disabilities and a laundry list of medical anomalies are just a part of her package. She is a mystery to the medical community with countless surgeries, hospitalizations, tests and procedures.
We are now part of two unique groups. The larger community of families with a member who has special needs both medically and developmentally. The smaller group is the Emanuel Syndrome family. Both groups have brought us sweet relationships with people who we may have never met and certainly wouldn't have understood.
We have a child who knows unconditional love. She has a deep and unwavering faith that many of us will never achieve here on earth. She allows us to see a brightness in life in ways that adulthood had dulled. She has taught us to slow down so we don't miss a thing. She has brought true beauty into our home.
I am blessed!

Always,
Hope
